Government (Fall Semester) (Period 4)

Course Description

The goal of this course is for students to examine the varying structures and purposes of selected governments around the world and compare them to the principles and ideals underlying the American political system.  Students will understand the major functions of the American system of government and the responsibilities, rights, and privileges of United States citizens. They will also develop and employ political science and civic skills necessary for effective participatory citizenship through critical understanding of governmental concepts.
