Algebra II (Honors) (Period 3)

Course Description

Algebra II - Honors is an intensive and accelerated course intended to prepare students for advanced mathematics courses. It focuses on the use of technology and data analysis to develop students’ thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. Properties, applications, and the algebra of functions, matrix algorithms, and linear, quadratic, radical, exponential, logarithmic, polynomial, rational, and trigonometric functions are studied in greater depth. Applications as well as the properties relevant to advanced mathematics also are studied. This course requires more independent learning, and homework assignments are more challenging.
