Day 1
TRAVEL DAY
DAYS 2/3
Arrive in Madrid
EXPLORE MADRID
Guided tour of the city today. Visit the Plaza de Espagna, the Royal Palace and Plaza de la Paja. Take a walking tour of Old Madrid, and visit Plaza Mayor, the architectural center of Madrid.
DAY 4
EXPLORE TOLEDO
This “City of Three Cultures” was where people of Christian, Jewish and Muslim faiths coexisted in peace. Visit the Cathedral and Church Sao Tome and en route to Toledo you will stop at the Sword shop.
DAY 5
Madrid
Day 6
EXPLORE SEGOVIA
Full day excursion to Segovia and in the evening, enjoy a local experience of Flamenco Dinner in Madrid.
DAY 7
TRAIN TO BARCELONA
After travel to Barcelona, half day to explore Barcelona City with Hop-on Hop-off bus tour.
DAYS 8/9
EXPLORE BARCELONA
Explore the Old City and districts of Raval, Barri Gòtic, and El Born, stops at La Boqueria and Catarina markets. A walking tour dedicated to Gaudi- Park Güell, Sagrada Familia Cathedral, Café of Casa Milà.
DAY 10
TRAVEL HOME
Registration Details
- Registration for the trip will open in various tiers according to grade level and Spanish Students
- Only 10-12 grade students can participate in this program
- Trip will remain open until the trip is full (whatever comes first)
- Students in the eligible registration group will receive an email with instructions on how to register for the program
- This is how priority registration will open:
August 14
Students currently enrolled in Spanish and 12th grade
August 16
At 3pm open to 11th grade
August 17
At 3pm open to 10th grade
Cost of Program
- In order to register, a student may not have any outstanding financial obligations to the school
- Payments must be made through the FACTS Tuition Management System
- If you are currently paying your Aquinas tuition through the FACTS, the program fee will be added to your monthly payments from the time you register until February.
- If you are not currently on the FACTS tuition Management system, you will need to add an account. Click HERE to sign up for this account.
- $3900 will be divided into equal payments from the time you register until the last payment that will come out in February 2024
- All money is non-refundable through Aquinas
- Optional- Travel Protection can be purchased additionally for $200. Details of the plan can be found at the bottom of this page.
- Meals: Breakfast and 2 dinners included. Need about $350 for additional meals.
Passport Information
- Passport is required
- Apply for passport ASAP
- Takes about 12-15 weeks for a passport to come in
- Cost of Passport $130 plus $35 application fee
- Make an appointment
- Must turn in a copy of passport to Mrs. Darley by January 4, 2024
