Dear Irish Fans,

First and foremost, THANK YOU to the coaches, parents, volunteers, staff and students who make our athletic program so successful.  I am grateful to each of you and recognize the amount of time and energy that you spend working with our students to make sure everything runs smoothly and that each team is prepared to be as competitive as possible.

Something that stands out in our athletic program is the focus on Virtue in Sports.  Our coaches and athletes strive to represent Aquinas in a positive light by treating each other with respect and humility and to ensure their actions do as well.  It is humbling to watch our coaches and students lead and end practices and games in prayer with each other, and often with the opposing team.

This past year was definitely one for the books.  Our men’s basketball team won the Class A Private State Championship for the first time in school history with an exciting victory over St. Francis and the Fightin’ Irish football team won their region for the 4th time in the past 5 years.  We also believe that we set a school record with college signings.  Football, both soccer teams, men’s basketball, baseball and golf had a total of 15 college signings!  Quite impressive for our small student body. Most of our teams have been conditioning year round and from what I am hearing from coaches, this year promises to be just as exciting. Thanks again for your support.

Stay strong IRISH!
