Meet Lisa and Steve Ford

I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.  -Philippians 3:14

My family and I live in a small town in Indiana.  God has entrusted us with the care of a successful four-generation family business. We have always made it our priority to pour resources into our local community so as to improve the lives of the people who live here, many of whom work, play and pray alongside us. 

Last summer, I had the chance to visit Aquinas High School while spending time with my dear friend, Mrs. Maureen Lewis.  I was touched by the school’s mission of providing a high quality, Christ-centered education to its students.  The work being done to improve the athletic facilities reflects the desire to love those students well.  

A few weeks ago, God planted on my heart the desire to participate in God’s kingdom work at Aquinas.  My children do not attend the school nor have they ever visited it.  It is not in our community, so those surrounding us will never experience an education at Aquinas.  All of that said, the Holy Spirit continued to prompt my heart with the desire to give.  

“Am I crazy?” I asked my husband.  Yet, I knew that when students walked through the doors of Aquinas, they had the opportunity to meet Jesus.  There is no higher calling than bringing people to the Lord and we want to be part of that calling at Aquinas.

Our hope is that as students attend classes and sporting events, they will learn to know, love and serve the Lord who lavishes His generous love upon us daily.  As students participate in activities, may they reflect the character of the God they serve.

Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask of imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever.  Amen.  -Ephesians 3:20-21
